SALALAH FREE ZONE HQ GETS A ROOF

Oman - SFZ Administrative Headquarters Building progress captured on Google Maps.

A recent check on Google Earth showed progress at December 2015 with the structure of the rotunda and main building complete and the atrium roof structure in place. It is difficult to tell from the photograph, but the atrium roof is 27 metres across and 53 metres long and flies 15 metres above the atrium floor where there is a 15 metre long reflecting pool, fountains and 8 metre preserved palm trees.

It is gratifying to see that all the details we put on the drawings appear to be being faithfully built; notably the roof gardens, cooling towers and footings for the 30 metre diameter tensile structure that will sit in the middle of the agora.

The long shot aerial shows SGP’s first sheds in the Middle East.
