SIEMENS PLANS TO TRANSFORM PRINCESS PARKWAY IN MANCHESTER
The Manchester operation of Siemens plc wants to develop its Princess Parkway site in Didsbury, with the help of Stephen George & Partners.
Siemens aim to create a major new mixed use scheme, which would include a Spire private hospital with training and conferencing facilities.
The project, which will include a private hospital, housing and office space, is expected to create more than 400 jobs if it gets the go-ahead. The scheme will include an office park, anchored by Siemens, targeting businesses in complementary sectors including high tech and healthcare. There are also plans to host quality family and executive housing, while crèches, gyms and possibly amenity-scale leisure and retail, may be incorporated.

RETAIL & LEISURE SCHEME GETS GO-AHEAD
A new retail and leisure hub on Wellingborough’s London
Road will be under construction within a matter of months, after Borough
Council of Wellingborough councillors voted unanimously to approve the plans from Stephen George & Partners.
The new development by St Modwen sits on a key approach to Wellingborough’s town centre and will include a new discount foodstore, shop units and a drive-thru restaurant.
St Modwen hopes to begin work on site in late Summer 2014.
Gary Morris, senior development manager at St Modwen said that names of the new stores would be confirmed soon: “We’re delighted that councillors have voted to approve this scheme, which will bring new stores and jobs to Wellingborough, to complement the town’s existing offer and regenerate this derelict site."
